Children at Laidley NAIDOC didj workshop

Scott celebrated indigenous culture on NAIDOC day with a free public concert and workshop, at the inaugural festival at Laidley, west of Brisbane.  Markets for food and indigenous products lined the park, and locals from near and far joined to hear local musicians and tributes.  Scott played a concert of traditional and modern sounds to pay his respects to local custodians as well as to all indigenous Australians and culture.  In the afternoon a fun free workshop was held to teach the basics of good didj playing to children and adults alike.  Senior elder “Aunty” Therese Webster gave thanks to Scott for his contributions with a Certificate of Julian Schnabel: A Private Portrait
